Robert "Dale" Moon
Principal Broker, Moon Insurance Managers and President, Professional Insurance Agents Texas

Dale Moon is an accomplished insurance and real estate professional with a strong foundation in public service and association leadership. He studied Public Administration at the College of the Mainland and the University of Houston–Clear Lake. His early career included service in law enforcement from 1977 to 1996, during which he earned advanced certifications and graduated from both the Harris County Sheriff’s Academy and the Pasadena Police Academy.

In 1985, Dale began his career in the insurance industry as a career agent with Farmers Insurance Group, a position he held for over 20 years. He later founded Moon Realty Partners in 1998, expanding his professional footprint into real estate. In 2007, he transitioned to independent agency ownership by founding Moon Insurance Managers, where he currently serves as Principal Broker.

Dale has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to industry advocacy and professional development. He played a vital role in the United Farmers Agents Association (UFFA), serving as President of the Houston Chapter (1988–1992), National Secretary (1993–2000), and National Director of Legal Affairs (2001–2006). In these roles, he collaborated closely with the Coalition of Exclusive Agents on legislative and litigation matters to protect and advance the interests of agents nationwide.

Within the Professional Insurance Agents Texas (PIA Texas), Dale has served in multiple leadership capacities:

  • Board of Directors: 2018–2019
  • President-Elect: 2019–2021
  • President: 2021–present

As President of PIA Texas, Dale continues to advocate for independent agents, champion legislative engagement, and promote professional standards and growth across the insurance industry. He also serves as a member of the PIA National Flood Insurance Advisory Council.
