New Agent Introduction to Property & Casualty Insurance Webinars
Take this opportunity to prepare current and new agents with the knowledge they need to successfully navigate property and casualty insurance in the state of Texas and reduce your risk of liability. This new program is being brought to you by the Texas Professional Insurance Agents and The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.
Participants will learn:
- General insurance terms and concepts including definitions, authority granted to the agents, Law of Large Numbers,
- Insurance Marketing distribution systems, how major types of insurance companies are structured
- Property & Casualty insurance basics such as cause of loss, perils and loss valuation
- Insurance policy principles and concepts including claims that are covered by more than one policy, limits of liability, coinsurance, and nonrenewal
- Liability basics and describing defenses for unintentional torts, four tests for negligence, types of liability, concepts of general and compensatory damages
